Last month Pride Community Foundation took over Brighton Town Hall’s beautiful historic council chamber for an afternoon of Queering Politics, an informal panel discussion with four LGBTQIA+ panelists who gave us the honest, unfiltered truth about local government and what it really takes to get involved.
Mayor Amanda Grimshaw BEM, Councillor Raphael Hill, Councillor David McGregor, and PCF CEO and former councillor Leslie Clarke talked about everything from identity and imposter syndrome to licensing policy, trans rights, council pay and why 2027 could be a pivotal year for LGBTQIA+ representation in Brighton.
